The pastel and mixed-media paintings/drawings of James Kimak
"In a style reminiscent of Edward Hopper, James Kimak's pastel drawings evoke an almost sublime sense of stillness...his work is a paean to familiar comforts -- which in light of recent events ( 9/11), is perhaps the best form of solice that art can offer us." -New York Magazine Online
